The Queer Writers' Circle is a group hosted by trans writer and poet Alex Cregan. The group aims to offer an inclusive space for writers all across the LGBTQ+ community, providing not only feedback but also safe space to share work, engage creatively, and discuss routes to publishing while also establishing the widely creative LGBTQ+ community's space in the North.

The next group meeting will take place on Frioday 3rd April at 7pm in the Waterside Theatre & Arts Centre. Everyone from the LGBTQ+ community is welcome. This event is free to attend but cash donations are greatly appreciated on the night.


Alex Cregan (he/they) is a trans writer and poet based in Derry. His work has previously featured in The Paperclip Vol. III, Belfast Pride's 2023 Poetry with Pride anthology and Motherwort + Rose's Grieving as Shapeshifting Zine, amongst others. He has also managed a few creative endeavors in the past including the Celtic Renaissance Art Zine.
